Chapter Two
In this chapter, Sam seems very preoccupied, and his mind wanders while he is in school. What's on his mind and how do you think he is feeling? Please use evidence from the text to support your thinking.
That he might be moving somewhere out of Kentucky. I know this because Sam says that he is thinking that if Billy and Harold were right that he'd have to leave Jeb and Luke.
I think that Sam is thinking about his dad and wondering if they were going to move out of Kentucky, and he might have to leave all his friends.I think he is sad!
