Why do you think it was so important to Billy and Sam to have a funeral for the horse that drowned in the Mississippi Rive?

  3. Because they thought it was a very beautiful horse and they felt bad just leaving it without a sort-of funeral.

  5. Because Billy and Sam thought that it was a beautiful horse and that it deserved a funeral of some sort and they might have thought or felt like they were losing someone they know or a very close relative.
