Chapter Twenty-two
It seems as though Sam learned an important lesson about Harold during this part of the story. What do you think that lesson was, and how might it affect Sam and the way he sees things?
I think the lesson was that Sam feels that Harold's whole life was grasshoppers eating his things and Sam said he got lucky by only getting it once and Sam might not see him as just a ex slave.
I think the lesson was that Harold has feelings and has been through bad things. Sam said that his life is just one grasshopper storm, but Harold's life is like a million grasshopper storms every day.
