Sam seems to have done a reversal in terms of his feelings about their new home. Now, instead of bemoaning (click for definition) the way things are, he seems determined to make it a success. How do you account for this change in Sam? What is behind it?
This question adapted from Matt's idea. Thank you, Matt.
I think it was because he worked so hard on planting the crops even though he didn't want to. Sam was worried something like this would happen, the crops would get destroyed, and all of the work would go to waste.
ReplyDeleteI think because he worked really hard with building the house and planting and he feels that all that hard work was for nothing plus he has a friend there and that makes him want to stay even more!
ReplyDeleteI think it was because Sam worked very hard helping Pa plant the crops. So maybe Sam was mad because he might have thought all his hard work for nothing.
ReplyDeleteI think it is because he spent all that time there planting he crops and he doesn't want to give up. I also believe he is behaving this way because he doesn't want to make that long journey again and he has a friend.
