Chapter Fourteen

It seems that Sam began to change a little in this chapter.  What changes did you see in him and what do you think were the reasons behind these changes?

  1. I think Sam and Billy are getting along better. I think sence they were in the wagon together for so long, they got used to each other's company.

  3. I think because they were kind of always with each other for along time while they were going to the Dakotas.

  4. Matt and Johnathon: Neither of you answered the question I asked. What you've done so far is not acceptable. You need to revisit the text and write more thoughtful responses.

  5. I think he is trying to appreciate the Dakotas more. I think this because when they get the house
built he tries to get right into it. For example he cuts the slit in the wall when his parents are outside.

  6. The change that I saw was that Sam was trying to get used to the land . I know this because Sam was consistently helping build the house and he was eager to get inside it.

  7. The change that I saw was that Sam was not used to the land so in this chapter he was starting to get used to the new land. And Sam was consistently trying to help get the house done,so they can get inside to call a place home!

  8. I think Sam wants a place that he can call home instead of the wagon because they haven't been in a actual home in at least a month.
